Webpage Content Submission Guidelines


We accept submissions for webpage content publication following these guidelines, though we reserve the right to refuse publication solely at the webmaster's discretion.

If you have an avian article or photos to submit - here are the general publication guidelines. If after reading these guidelines, you still need more info you can email to the webmaster at  

All content submissions need to be approved by the webmaster  prior to posting on the website.

Authors can sign-on to the automated calendar publication reminder from our Google Calendar which is distributed to your email address on the 25th of each month.

To simplify the process for submitting your web content,  just paste the text of your article in the body of a blank email reply to the reminder and make sure it is in plaintext format.

Do not send the text of your proposed article as a file attachment. Photos may be sent as file attachments to the same email, you must own the rights to publish any photos you submit.

If you choose to submit content at other times (more frequently) submit your photo or article with your Full First and Last Name, your daytime phone number so we may contact you directly if there are questions. .

Email your document(s) for posting as a plain text file to the email address as listed above.

Files submitted in any other format than plain text will not be processed.

Do not use Rich Text Formatting, no bullets, special formatting characters, no double spaces or double hyphens, or various proprietary webpage editing software - as they all display various characters with inconsistent results.

The text of your article and any photos or graphic illustrations submitted will be reformatted to our site specifications to maintain the page load performance and display uniformity.

We do not pay for articles or photos published on our website.

Author and/or photographer credits are given in conjunction with publication and we are happy to provide an email link to the author or photographer's email if you desire it.

We do not automatically include email addresses because some folks do not want their email address published.

PHOTOS / GRAPHIC REQUIREMENTS

Any photos or graphics submitted must be in JPG, EPS  or GIF graphic format, no other graphic file formats will be accepted for publication. Keep graphic file sizes small, not larger than 4"x6", huge files will not be accepted for publication.

SUBMISSION DEADLINES:

Weekly cutoff deadline for submissions will be Tuesdays at midnight for Friday publication.

Monthly deadline for submissions will be midnight on the 25th of the month for publication on the first day of the following month.
